Designed for professional contractors or
do-it-yourselfers, Bucket Stilts elevate the user almost two feet off
the ground to perform overhead work like painting, wallpapering,
cleaning, dry walling/sheet rocking, texturing/finish work or framing.
They are fastened to each foot and give the user
stability and balance to leave both hands free for work.
Current systems of earthquake proofing have proven
ineffective - attaching a building strongly to a foundation is
disastrous, rollers and springs create over-elasticity, and hydraulic
systems cause difficulties in leveling the structure.
The ERF System is padding made with 50% grounded
recycled tires and 50% pure neoprene. When bolted to the sill of a home
or building's foundation, it absorbs 5 inches of 360 degree ground
movement before elastically dragging the structure in slow motion to the
right and left until the ground stops moving.

Title: "Hose Light Bracket"
Industry: Construction/Home Improvement
Innovation's Image or
Logo
Patent Number: Available Upon Request
Inventor Name: Novey Wiley
Commercialization Options:
Description and Benefits:
The Hose Light Bracket allows users to combine a
mini-flashlight with a pistol-grip hose nozzle to shed light wherever
the hose spray is aimed. Industrial applications include use at dusk
when cement truck drivers must hose down the interior of cement truck
channels before the cement hardens.
It is also needed by airline mechanics, fisheries,
firemen, meat industries, restaurants, etc. This simple and inexpensive
device is made of rugged plastic and uses special grommets to anchor the
locking screws.

Title: "QuakeProtect ModulesTM"
Industry: Construction/Home Improvement
Innovation's Image or
Logo
Patent Number: Available Upon Request
Inventor Name: Roderich Bierwirth
Commercialization Options:
Description and Benefits:
A breakthrough technology that enables users to design
or retrofit any kind of building and any kind of structure - nearly 100
percent earthquake proof.
The modules form a seismic immune support system, which
totally isolate the supported structure against earthquake shocks from
the ground. It is able to reduce any accelerations and shear forces to
almost zero.
It is a no-impact-transferring device that allows
displacements freely. It doesn't matter what the magnitude of the
earthquake is, or how fast the earth moves, or how strongly the
foundation of the building is accelerated- all results are the same -
any acceleration that is transferred to the building is reduced to a
value of less than 0.01g, so the building just stands still, it doesn't
move.

Title: "Ribbed Fabric Paving
System"
Industry: Construction/Home Improvement
Innovation's Image or
Logo
Patent Number: Available Upon Request
Inventor Name: Darrell Close
Commercialization Options:
Description and Benefits:
This is a simple and easy-to-follow system for paving a
backyard patio or sidewalk for the do-it-yourselfer as well as the
construction industry.
Users place the stones over ribs attached to a fabric
which is laid over the ground. The ribs provide perfect alignment and
ease of installation and every part can be moved until it fits just
right. When completed, all parts act as a whole, preventing movement or
shifting while also stabilizing the ground.
Because the pieces are held together without mortar,
tiles are less apt to crack from expansion and contraction than mortared
pavers, and require less soil preparation than other interlocking paving
systems.
